Police Scotland detectives, Craig Hunter and Chantal Jain, are on trail of Sean Tulloch who is a brutal hunter of vulnerable women. Craig and Chantel risk their lives (and exposure of their secret love life) trying to arrest Tulloch or get him arrested by an unwilling police force in Portugal where he has fled. Once again Ed James provides a rich story filled with excellent characters and great, realistic dialogue. The italicized insights into the internal thoughts and emotional struggles that both Craig and Chantal are working through provided me a real attachment. Thanks once again, Ed.Product details

Hunted Craig Hunter Police Thrillers Book 2 edition by Ed James Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
I am still trying to catch my breath. Don't miss this one. Totally couldn't put it down. Mr. James just keeps getting better with each outing.
Sean Tulloch is a really bad guy. Tulloch is not only a serial rapist, but he enjoys assaulting his victims into the hospital. DC Craig Hunter and partner DS Chantal Jain are hot on the Tulloch trail. "Hunted", (Craig Hunter #2) from author Ed James is a fast paced thriller with plenty of suspense creating a page turning intense yarn. Paisley Sanderson, Tulloch's most recent victim is in the hospital and the team of Hunter and Jain need to get him off the street. Working for DI Sharon McNeill, Hunter and Jain must also conceal their romantic relationship. Although Craig and Chantal's personal lives are the talk of the squad room. Army Captain Brian Rollo-Smith arrives at the precinct headquarters looking for his private gone astray of the law, Sean Tulloch. Hunter wants no part of informing Rollo-Smith of current whereabouts of Tulloch. This is a criminal matter for the Police of Scotland and not the Army. Unfortunately For Hunter and Jain their suspect has fled the country to Portugal. DI McNeill is very hesitant about sending the pair to Portugal since their police powers would be nil. However Hunter talks McNeill into giving the partners a three day trip to Portugal to locate Tulloch and turn him over to local authorities for arrest. Hunter and Jain are told to cooperate with local police and do nothing more. However the pair touch down in Portugal and immediately begin a three day adventure chasing bad guys and give the local police a monster headache. A former partner of Hunter, Finlay Sinclair has retired to Portugal and keeps making a nuisance of himself butting into the Tulloch investigation. Inspector Joao Quaresma of Portugal has the task of working with Hunter and Jain. Needless to say he's disgusted with the pair pretty quickly. Quaresma is trying to push all his available resources into the "Harry Jack" missing person case from Scotland. Harry Jack is a kidnapped missing little boy who has captivated the public's eye for news. The Jack case is the hot story in all the newspapers in Scotland and Portugal. Sightings of Harry keep popping up. As Hunter and Jain rumble their way through Portugal and back to Scotland in pursuit of Tulloch they make enemies everywhere they seem to be. In a very quickly moving plot that touches on PTSD and child abuse as underlying parts to primary story of rape, domestic abuse, and kidnapping Hunter and Jain certainly have their hands full. Also making an appearance is Scott Cullen, author Ed James preeminent character in his own series. Hunter has an immense dislike for Cullen and is hard pressed having to pair up with him. With an explosive ending this high octane thriller was difficult to put down. At just over 420 pages I read this book in just three sittings. As with all of author Ed James thrillers the sometimes the oddball and amazing characters make the book. I thought this second Hunter book was better than the first of the series. All three of author Ed James primary series are outstanding reading. (Scott Cullen- Simon Fenchurch- Craig Hunter) "Hunted" is a do not miss read for sure. Five stars out of a possible five stars for author Ed James, "Hunted". Hopefully soon Mr. James will be bringing out a new Scott Cullen. I'll also be waiting for another Craig James vehicle. Do not miss!
Did not finish the book. Did not know it was a porn book when I bought it.
This is by far the worst of all the Ed James books I have read
(normally I rate them 4 or 5). It was repetitive in the extreme Hunter & Jain (his sergeant and partner in both senses) go heavy drinking; H&J look for nasty villain but fail; H&J have deep inward-looking discussions and go to sleep; H&J go heavy drinking; H&J look for villain, fail; ...... etc. etc. etc. No detection happens, therefore hardly a plot. Occasionally some well written violence is thrown into the mix, but then the tedium starts again. I love the two central characters, they are complex, driven, fundamentally principled (apart from their drinking habits) however in this book EJ has subjected them to the worst banality. But I am a confirmed EJ fan so, despite Hunted, I still look forward to the next book from him.
Love EJ! All his books. Can’t get enough.
Wow!! If you're looking for a read that's non-stop police action from page 1 right to the end - check this one out! Ed James doesn't let you down.
I'm a big Ed James fan from his Cullen series - but the Craig Hunter books may become my favorites - though they could easily be called the Chantal Jain series also. Sensitive topics of abuse victims, PTSD, and the challenges of survivors are addressed with care and believability.
